Healthy Interactions to join ADA’s recognised diabetes education network, expanding patient support from October 2026

Healthy Interactions will integrate its medication education programme into the American Diabetes Association’s Education Recognition Programme, increasing access to recognised diabetes support services across the US and enhancing patient engagement from October 2026.

Healthy Interactions says its patient medication education programme will be added to the American Diabetes Association’s Education Recognition Programme from October 2026, giving the company access to a network of around 1,200 recognised diabetes education programmes across 3,554 sites in the US. The move is being presented as a way to widen support for people starting new therapies for diabetes and related cardiometabolic conditions.

According to the American Diabetes Association, its Education Recognition Programme accredits diabetes self-management education and support services that meet national standards. The association says the network has reached more than 10 million participants since 2012 and is designed to help people build the knowledge and confidence needed to manage diabetes more effectively.

Healthy Interactions said the sessions will be live, virtual and delivered in small groups, with a trained healthcare professional guiding discussion around the specific medication or device a patient has already been prescribed. The company says the service is intended to help patients raise practical questions about use, side effects, cost and day-to-day fit, rather than replace advice from their own clinicians.

The American Diabetes Association also offers a wider set of resources for diabetes educators and recognised programmes, including support materials, continuing education and tools to help services maintain recognition. Bayhealth, which has been recognised through the programme, has described ADA recognition as a marker that a service meets national standards for diabetes education and support.
