Vezeeta and EVA Pharma have partnered to streamline access to telehealth consultations for obesity and diabetes in Egypt, integrating awareness campaigns with a digital medical pathway funded by EVA Pharma to enhance continuous care.
Vezeeta and EVA Pharma have struck a partnership in Egypt aimed at making it easier for people living with obesity and diabetes to get medical advice and follow-up care through a digital pathway. According to the companies’ announcement on Zawya, the arrangement links EVA Pharma’s “My Journey Beyond Weight” awareness campaign with Vezeeta’s platform so patients can reach doctors and nutritionists without the delays and travel often associated with traditional appointments.
The collaboration centres on a smart link embedded in EVA Pharma’s campaign page, directing users to Vezeeta’s network of accredited clinicians and dietitians. The companies say the service is designed to support consultations and nutritional monitoring through telehealth tools, with EVA Pharma funding the cost of medical consultations for patients using the pathway. The aim is to make care more continuous, especially for chronic conditions that often require repeated contact with health professionals.
The move fits into a wider effort by EVA Pharma to expand its footprint in cardiometabolic care. The company’s own website says it is a major Egyptian drug maker with about 5,000 employees, more than one million healthcare products produced daily and a portfolio spanning more than 300 products. Its recent work has included partnerships in obesity and diabetes, including the launch of Mounjaro in Egypt and a collaboration with Lilly on locally manufactured insulin, underscoring a broader push to widen access to treatment in a market where chronic disease remains a significant burden.
For Vezeeta, the deal extends a business model built around digital access to healthcare across the Middle East and Africa. The platform says it connects patients with a large regional network of providers and offers booking for in-person and remote consultations, as well as pharmacy and diagnostic services. In the context of Egypt’s digital-health ambitions, the partnership presents itself as part of a larger shift towards care models that combine awareness, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up in one pathway.
