Diabetes Motivational Coaching celebrates four years of empowering mental resilience and personalised support

Founded by Danielle Blanchard, Diabetes Motivational Coaching marks four years of emphasising emotional support and confidence-building alongside managing blood sugar levels, highlighting a shift towards holistic diabetes care.

Diabetes Motivational Coaching is marking 4 years in business with a message that managing diabetes is about far more than numbers on a screen. Founded in 2022 by Danielle Blanchard, the coaching practice says its work centres on helping people overcome burnout, rebuild confidence and find a steadier relationship with the condition through practical support and encouragement.

Blanchard has lived with Type 1 diabetes since she was 16 months old and was later diagnosed with celiac disease. She said her own experience of exhaustion and frustration shaped the service she built, which now works with people across diabetes types. Her background also includes work as a certified health and wellness coach, a camp director at The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, a programme manager with the American Diabetes Association and organiser of the Massachusetts Type 1 Meetup, an in-person support group that has grown to more than 500 members.

The timing of the anniversary reflects a wider conversation in diabetes care about emotional strain. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention highlights personal stories from people trying to avoid type 2 diabetes through lifestyle change, underscoring how closely health habits and motivation are tied to everyday life. In Blanchard’s view, the same principle applies to people already living with diabetes: treatment plans matter, but so do confidence, self-compassion and support.

Diabetes Motivational Coaching says its services include one-to-one coaching, burnout support programmes, life coaching and regular check-ins. The company claims its approach is built around small, sustainable changes rather than rigid targets, with help tailored to each client’s circumstances. Its website also says flexible pricing and donations are used to subsidise coaching for people who cannot afford the full cost.

Client testimonials on the company’s website describe the coaching as reassuring and practical. One participant said the burnout package “really saved her life”, while others described their first sessions as transformative and praised Blanchard’s outlook. As the business enters its fifth year, Blanchard says the aim remains the same: to remind people that diabetes can be managed without shame and that no one has to face it alone.
